福岡大学Fukuoka University Faculty of Science

2020年理学部創立50周年

The Faculty of Science contributes to the sound development of society through education and research in the fields of natural science and mathematical science. Accordingly, the Faculty has four departments (Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, and Earth System Science) and two institutes (Social Mathematics Information Technology Institute and Nanoscience Institute), providing graduates with knowledge of facts and theory for a solid understanding of natural phenomena and mathematics. The goal is to produce graduates who have logical, creative minds, broad perspectives, and social skills applicable on the regional and global levels, and who can leverage logic, analysis, and creativity to utilize their knowledge from multiple perspectives.

Introduction of Department

Applied Mathematics

Applied Mathematics

The Department of Applied Mathematics offers a selection of courses designed to efficiently instill the skills needed to identify the core of mathematical problems. These courses include academic guidance in small groups. To ensure that students can handle computers and information, they also study information-related subjects, gaining the abilities needed to identify problems and develop solutions.
